He is also chairman - International affairs of "The world Punjabi organization", which promotes culture and brotherhood of Punjabi’s irrespective of theirreligion, caste, creed and colour, having various chapters in several countries. The Loomba foundation, is a UN accredited global charity organization committed to educate children of poor widows and provide social economic empowerment to disadvantaged widows in India. Ms Cherie Blair is the president, and Sir Richard Branson is the patron–in–chief of the foundation. The foundation is working in UK, USA, Canada, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and aims to provide relief tomillions of widows around the world. Chairman, Jallianwala Bagh Centenary Commemoration Commitee (JBCCC)
The purpose of JBCCC is to raise awareness of the atrocities and massacre of thousands of innocent people, which took place in the Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar on 13th April, 1919. Although, UK House of Commons condemned the massacre, but the House of Lords celebrated it. JBCCC though Lord Raj Loomba CBE and Lord Desai, debated in the house of Lords on 19th February 2019 to ask the UK Government to offer an apology to India. JBCCC organized an exhibition "Punjab under siege"- the Jallianwwala Bagh Centenary with the help of Manchester Museum that will be travelling to United Kingdom to be held in the cities of Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow in April 2019 to pay tribute to innocent people who were so cruelly murdered and many more injured on the Vaisakhi day exactly 100 years ago. JBCCC has also decided to host a remembrance dinner for over 100 high profile guests in the Cholmondeley Room at the House of Lords in Saturday 13th April 2019. The committee comprises of Lord Raj Loomba CBE, Ambassador Navtej Sarna, Mr. Virender Sharma MP, Lords and Lady Desai.
